A Natural Love For Music
I joke I must’ve been born with a music gene! I had an older sister that exposed me to not only classic Broadway tunes like South Pacific and West Side Story, but Elvis and Doo-wop.
I was also lucky enough to be a teenager during the era of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Motown, the British Invasion, and all the craziness coming out of California. I’ve continued to listen to music all my life. Not only is it enjoyable, but did you realize it’s actually healthy?
Music Is Good For Your Health
Music can elevate your mood, reduce stress, minimize depression, help tolerate pain, and push harder when you exercise.
It’s Also More Accessible Than Ever
With the ability to stream music from various sources today, it couldn’t be easier to enjoy. For less than $10 a month, you can listen to any song within your imagination. That includes songs of which you’re familiar and new tunes that are designed specifically for you through artificial intelligence. If music is currently not a part of your life, it’s a short walk to enjoy all the benefits it provides.
Bob’s All-Time Favorite Songs
Although it is hard to choose a few, I would say three of my favorite songs are:
“Mr. Jones” by Counting Crows – Represents one’s dream of fame and/or fortune.
“Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” by Crosby, Stills & Nash – Incredible harmonies and beautiful music.
“Have I Told You Lately” by Van Morrison – Because at least 70% of songs feel like they are communication about love gained and love lost.
Happy listening.
